When you schedule a family portrait session with me, I’ll chat with you a little bit to find out what your goals are for your portrait session. Once I get a feel for what you are looking for, I’ll recommend some locations that you may enjoy for your portrait session. I also love shooting in new places, so if you have a favorite or have seen a location you’re interested in, please let me know! It’s always fun to try new things.
Each family session takes about an hour. Plan to arrive about ten minutes early. I love the chance to get to know you a little before our session, and it’s nice to have a minute to talk about the session before we begin. It also gives us a little wiggle-room in case littles need a break in between family shots.
I have 5 babies of my own (my 13 year old probably wouldn’t appreciate that I still consider her my baby) and have lots of experience working with children. I’ll send out an email to help you prepare for your session and it will include some of my favorite tips on getting kids to cooperate during your session!
You are welcome to bring a change of clothing if you would like. I know that organizing the family’s outfits can be stressful, and so I created this page to help guide you through the process. Following those tips are completely up to you- but they’re one way to help make sure your family looks their best in your portraits.
Once your portraits are edited (in about two weeks) you’ll receive a link to your personal portrait gallery. This is where you’ll be able to download full resolution copies of all of your files (You’re guaranteed at least 30 edited portraits), as well as purchase your print products for your home. You even get a $25 print credit to use toward your purchases!
